The evening will open with the first ever meeting between Martin Green of LAU and internationally renowned trumpet player Natsuki Tamura followed by Tom Bancroft’s latest project, VINCENT, featuring Satoko Fuji (Japanese avant-garde jazz pianist, composer and wife of Natsuki Tamura) and Una McGlone (double bassist and improvisation artist and member of the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra).

The concert features as part of Midlothian Council’s MIDFEST programme and VINCENT will also play gigs in Edinburgh’s Jazz Bar on 10 September and Glasgow Arts Club on 11 September in-between recording sessions.

Both sets will be completely improvised which is exciting for the audience as they are guaranteed a completely unique experience but relatively terrifying for the performers as it is the musical equivalent of walking a tightrope. Come join the circus!
